The MIG Management Information System (MIS) was commissioned by the Government of Republic of South Africa in its Department of Provincial and Local Government (dplg) to manage the allocation and disbursement of MIG funding to municipalities, monitoring expenditure by municipalities and recording the assets resulting from the spending of MIG funds. Although the dplg monitors the quality of information contained in the MIS, neither the dplg nor the CSIR can guarantee or accept any liability arising from, or connected to, the accuracy, reliability, currency or completeness of any material contained in the MIS. The dplg recommends that users exercise their own skill and care with respect to the use of the MIS and that users evaluate the accuracy, currency, completeness and relevance of the information for their purposes. As a tool the MIS is not a substitute for independent professional advice. Neither the dplg nor the CSIR shall be liable or responsible to any person or entity for any loss or damage caused, or alleged to have been caused, directly or indirectly by or from the information contained in the MIS. Your use of the information from the MIS is therefore solely at your own risk.
